June Flower Beginners Watercolor Class - Rose Study at Island Lake Inn June 17, 2024

It's almost June so what better time to learn how to paint roses than now!

This Rose Study is for the beginner, watercolor hobbyist, or for the person who is seeking a new and relaxing creative outlet. So, grab a friend, partner, or come solo and let's paint together!

There are so many techniques and varied shapes to painting roses so let's take a full class to learn them. Once you learn how to paint the delicate petals of a rose you can take that practice with you to paint other flowers like Gardenias, Peonies, Begonias and so many more. We will also learn how to paint a number of leaf variations to add into our composition. I can't wait to teach this class because I know you're going to absolutely love to learn how to paint roses!

I'll teach you a number of different petal shapes with watercolor techniques, we'll practice  for the first half of class and then paint our rose study on a finished piece on archival, 140lb watercolor paper. I'll assist you along the way and we'll have extra paper for those of you who have time to keep practicing. All supplies and instruction will be included AND a free drink from Island Lake Inn!
